Favourite Bakes: Pancake Toppings

Tuesday is pancake day, one of the best food holidays of the year! I love having pancake parties, even if it means being stuck by the hob the whole night, flipping away. Savoury or sweet, lemon or orange, nutella or jam…. there are so many choices to make! A few years ago, a friend and I tried some different toppings from the classics which went down a storm (and have been repeated many times since). This included honeycomb butter and a ‘breakfast’ pancake with homemade granola. All of these toppings and a good pancake recipe can be found here.Breakfast PancakeMy new addition to pancake day are kit-kat pancakes; once the pankcake is flipped and cooked, keep it in the pan and place a kit-kat in the middle. Leave it a few seconds then fold the side over to make a pancake sandwich. And for a savoury classic, cook the pancake with cheese and ham, then fry an egg on top to make a pancake omelette. If anyone else has some good pancake topping suggestions, please let me know! Enjoy and Happy Pancake Day 🙂
